In a significant move, the Union Home Ministry has decided to reserve 10% jobs for ex-Agniveers in all future appointments of constables in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). This decision aims to provide employment opportunities to the retired Agniveers, who have served the nation with valor.
According to CISF Director General, Nina Singh, the ex-Agniveers will not only get a 10% quota in constable recruitments but also be exempted from the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Additionally, they will receive age relaxation, with a five-year relaxation in the first year and three years in subsequent years.
This decision is a welcome move for the Agniveers, who have been demanding recognition and employment opportunities after their service. The CISF is preparing the recruitment process, and the reserved posts will be filled soon.
This initiative is seen as a gesture of appreciation for the Agniveers’ service to the nation and a step towards their rehabilitation. The move is expected to benefit a significant number of ex-Agniveers, providing them with a new career path and a sense of security.
The CISF’s decision is in line with the government’s efforts to support the Agniveers and recognize their contributions. This move is likely to boost the morale of the Agniveers and encourage them to join the CISF, serving the nation once again.
